About

emma

My name is Emma Li. I’m a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in San Francisco Bay Area.

I got into photography through street fashion. I have been taking photos consistently since November 2014. A lot of my early work is focused on stylish people on the street. Around Late 2016 I dived into portrait and lifestyle photography. I have been going out on a shoot almost every weekend and multiple times through out the week in 2017.

I really love working with people and capturing their unique personalities. I believe everyone is different and therefore the finished photos should reflect who they are. I’m definitely a people’s person. I like to know the people I work with and let them feel comfortable to be in front of the camera. It’s actually not the most natural thing for a lot of folks.

I started fashion blogging about a month ago. Part of the reason is that I want to immerse myself in front of the camera, so I can really understand from a client’s perspective, which helps make me a better photographer.

I would love to learn about what you need and work together to create some beautiful pictures! So don’t hesitate to reach out.

    1. Hi Malik,
Thank you So much for leaving this heartwarming message!! It means the whole world to me. People like you inspire me to keep going. Somebody was just telling me how impressed she was with your poem! We all need to be the best we could be And lift each other up.
Art is healing. Art is fun. It’s hard to make a living doing it, but we must not stop expressing ourselves.
Again it means a lot to me that you take the time to write such a thoughtful comment and I could only hope that I can pass this level of positivity and generosity to other people. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future too!

      Sincerely,
      Emma
